House of Hoops Rotterdam

I was commissioned by Nike to create five murals of basketball players for the House of Hoops store in Rotterdam. The essential requirements were that the players should remain recognizable and their shirts legible. That's how I came up with the idea of modular building blocks, with the advantage that each block can vary in size. Greater sharpness and legibility is obtained by decreasing its size. While increasing the size results in a motion blur, which relates to the dynamics of the sport.
